Song Comments

Magoi: I posted a new song in the email address as giftofthemagi.mp3 or something. It's a variation of Magoi. I took the chord phrasing and repeated that a bunch, then thought up a melody to throw on top. The lyrics are weak, so is my voice (".. my room is small ..") but I thought I'd record it just so I didn't forget how it sounded in my head.
MotherMary: I really like this song slowed down. Plus the melody was changed around a bit, which I thought was a nice twist. The problem is that Mother Mary has a shitload of momentum to the song, and when it's slowed down, that aspect disappears. Maybe it would fill up with bass and big drums behind it.
AnotherCreativeName: Sounds percussive, like the strings are being hit with a pen. I like it. Reminds me of when we went to that kid's house where Ryan's drums are stored; we jammed percussive pen style. Anyway, I'm gonna have to spend some more time listening to it to hear a melody come out. Maybe next week..
